South African War Memorial, Tynemouth


The South African War Memorial is located at the west end of the public garden area by Front Street and Huntington Place, in Tynemouth. The red sandstone monument commemorates the men of Tynemouth Parish who died in the Boer War (1899-1902). The monument is Grade II listed on the National heritage List for England.
