Seahouses Primary School

Seahouses Primary School is located on James Street in Seahouses. It is a community school with about 70 pupils aged 4 to 11. In 2017, the area moved from a three tier to two tier education system; Seahouses First School opened on the former middle school site, whilst the former Seahouses First School site became redundant.

A new council school opened at North Sunderland in 1906 on the main road to Seahouses, replacing an older Church of England School. It became a County Primary School in 1960 when the older pupils moved to the new county modern school at Seahouses. It was known as North Sunderland County Primary School until it became a county first school and became Seahouses County First School.
