Ryehill (Great Tosson)
Ryehill is a hamlet, located about ½ mile north-west of Great Tosson, in Northumberland. In the past, the hamlet was part of a townhip called Great Tosson with Rye Hill, in the ancient parish of Rothbury. Allerdene farm is adjacent to the hamlet (Ryehill and Allerdene place names appear close together on some maps, but Ryehill Cottages and the buildings to the west of them are in Ryehill). Ryehill forms part of Whitton and Tosson Civil Parish
Note: not to be confused with Rye Hill in Humshaugh, also in Northumberland.
