    "Close to the west wall of the church is the topiary yew 'pig' [[245244]] There are several interesting gravestones in the churchyard including a badly weathered Roman altar which probably came originally from the nearby Hadrian's Wall fort of Onnvm [[1034912]]" Photo by Andrew Curtis, 2011.
