"This Pele Tower sits in Market Square, Dalton. It was built in the 14th Century. The structure is both grade I listed and a Scheduled Monument. Listing on the English Heritage website here: http://list.english-heritage.org.uk/resultsingle.aspx?uid=1218342 and http://list.english-heritage.org.uk/resultsingle.aspx?uid=1020457 The building is owned by the National Trust and the interior is opened to the public on summer Saturday afternoons by the Friends of Dalton Castle.
