St Andrew's Church - south aisle - grave slab segment
-
Description
"The Visitor's Guide to St Andrew's Parish Church says that this stone, only 10" x 14" (and partially covered by the halbard on the wall), was discovered in 1972. The tapering point of a sword engraved on the stone indicates a knight or man-at-arms. The crude engraving of a pot with a lily plant and three blooms is an emblem of the Virgin Mary, whose window is appropriately beside the stone." Photo by Mike Quinn, 2008. -
