Claife Viewing Station, restoration in progress
-
Description
"This very early tourist attraction, built in the 1790s for taking in the view, had fallen into disrepair. Owners the National Trust completed renovation work in autumn 2015, and have reopened the site to visitors (Trust website http://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/claife-viewing-station-and-windermere-west-shore ). As seen from a lake cruise boat." Photo by Rose and Trev Clough, 2014. -
