Boer War Memorial, Bellingham
-
Description
"This memorial to the Boer War erected in 1903 is a statue of a Fusilier in full South African kit holding a rifle. http://www.roll-of-honour.com/Northumberland/BellinghamBoer.html An email correspondent (12th August 2017) told me that the sculpture is thought to be the work of his great-great-granduncle, the York sculptor, George Walker Milburn (1844-1941)."
