School helps launch children's book about North East

    ITV REPORT, 20th June 2016. "Youngsters from a South Tyneside School have helped to launch a new book which takes children on a magical trip around the North East. Children from Hadrian Primary School and the Mayor of South Tyneside joined local author Yvonne Carlin-Page to launch Lily, Windy and The Witch: The Journey Begins. The book tells of Lily’s journey across the region as she flies on her magic map, visiting iconic places such as Arbeia Roman Fort, Souter Lighthouse and the Angel of the North. Co-Curate is a project which brings together online collections, museums, universities, schools and community groups to make and re-make stories and images from North East England and Cumbria. Co-Curate is a trans-disciplinary project that will open up 'official' museum and 'un-officia'l co-created community-based collections and archives through innovative collaborative approaches using social media and open archives/data.
