Wooperton

  • Description

"The station is largely intact although the trackbed has been infilled up to platform level.. The main station building and stationmaster's house is now a private residence. While the remainder of the stations south of Wooperton closed to freight traffic in 1953, Wooperton remained open until 1.12.1954. The overbridge on the B6346 has been demolished and the station is now screened from the road by high trees...."
