Manors (East) railway station, Tyne & Wear

  • Description

"Opened in 1850 by the Newcastle & Berwick Railway. View south west towards Newcastle. The land to the right of the image was part of the adjacent Manors North station between 1909 and 1978. Both stations were part of the local Tyneside rail network which has been largely superseded by the Tyne & Wear Metro, now served by the nearby Manors Metro station." Photo by Nigel Thompson, 2012.
