Downs Pit Lane, Hetton-le-Hole

  • Description

"Downs Pit Lane passes along the edge of Hetton Lyons Country Park as it approaches Hetton-le-Hole. The blue signs indicate that this is part of the Walney to Wear (W2W) cycle route. The W2W is a long distance route across the north of England, linking Walney Island near Barrow-in-Furness with Sunderland at the mouth of the River Wear." Photo by Malc McDonald, 2013.
