Squared stone except for squared rubble in north-west wing and snecked stone ballroom extension; graduated Lakeland slate roofs except for red clay tiles on ballroom range and flat roofs (not seen) on tower and ballroom extension. Irregular L-plan. Late C19 and early C20 parts in neo-Tudor style....." -
