Northern Goldsmiths on corner of Clayton Street West and Westgate Road

  • Description

"The Art Nouveau turret and corner offices extending along Westgate Road, designed by Cackett and Burns Dick around 1910, were built into, and in front of, Richard Grainger's existing properties, running to the left along Clayton Street West. The Northern Goldsmiths building features [[873664]] like that at the other of their Newcastle properties [[1678248]]. The clock was added around 1932.
