Description
"This is the site of Shoresdean Colliery, built in the 19th century. It was a small colliery and the remains that survive include a horizontal winding engine house and the footings of a beam pumping engine house that both worked the same shaft. The winding engine house is a single storey building built of stone. A few hundred metres to the north-west is an air shaft with the stump of a chimney....." -
