War Memorial Park, Haltwhistle

  • Description

"Haltwhistle's War Memorial Park was renovated in 2014. The central mosaic was created by local people of all ages co-ordinated by the Whistle Art Stop project. The stone war memorial is dedicated to the memory of those in the area who gave their lives in the Great War (1914 to 1918) and World War II (1939 to 1945). It was most recently restored in 1996, when a new wall and railing were placed around it. Beyond the park is the new Memorial Park Hospital and extra care accommodation.
