Eltringham House from the west
-
Description
"Eltringham House was probably originally a C16th century bastle, but was altered and extended in the late C17th or early C18th. The oldest part of the house is the east-west block (to the left) which has large stone rubble walls. A new front was added c1790, and the inside was fully restored in the late C19th century. It is a Grade II Listed Building. http://www.keystothepast.info/durhamcc/K2P.nsf/K2PDetail?readform&PRNMAP=N10134" Photo by Andrew Curtis, 2011. -
