Kinley Hill Chain Home Low (CHL) Radar Station (Hawthorn)
-
Description
"This site appears on aerial photographs of the 1940's as a collection of small buildings or huts just to the north of Kinley tower. The site is listed as a former Second World War RAF Station on Wikipedia. Pictorial evidence from 2009 shows how the site appears on the ground with a series of brick-built structures in various states of disrepair, concrete and brick foundation platforms and areas of collapsed corrugated iron sheeting, timbers and barbed wire...." -
