Whitley Mill (Hexhamshire and District)
-
Description
"A mill is known to have stood here since medieval times. It is mentioned in a document dated 1350 and in 1591, when it was owned by John Ogle. In 1598 the mill passed to his wife and was sold to Sir Ralph and Sir John Delaval in 1620. The present mill building has been converted to a house but the weir and leat have survived...." -
