Whitworth Hall

    "The former home of the famous Bonnie Bobby Shafto who lived in a previous building on this site from 1742 to 1797. The original Whitworth Hall was mostly destroyed by fire in 1876 after which the present two storey building was rebuilt. Co-Curate is a project which brings together online collections, museums, universities, schools and community groups to make and re-make stories and images from North East England and Cumbria.
