    "Bastle house; possibly c.1600 with alterations. Roughly coursed and squared stone, with some massive quoins and ashlar dressings; stone-flagged roof. 2 storeys, 2 windows. Side steps, behind flat-coped stepped wall, to first-floor central Dutch door. Thin stone lintel to door and to flanking late C19 sashes with thin stone sills...."
