South Tynedale Railway loco 9 at Alston, 18.8.2016

    South Tynedale Railway 0-4-0 diesel loco number 9 was built by Hunslet in 1952 and was previously in use with the National Coal Board at Seaham, County Durham. The 24-inch gauge railway runs for 3.5 miles from Alston to Lintley and is being extended to Slaggyford.
