"A small railway station was operated as part of the {Tweedmouth to Kelso Branch Line of Newcastle & Berwick Railway 24719}. This was composed of staggered buildings given the narrow site available between the railway line itself and the slopes to the River Tweed. The station operated between 1861 and 1955, but have all since been demolished...." -
