  • Description

"Entrance to Preston Tower (http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/153459), dating from 1866. Hard to make out from the photo, but the piers have acanthus friezes. They are flanked by long, balustraded quadrant walls. Grade II listed. I had a very pleasant chat, until the heavens opened, with the man who lived in the lodge, just to the right of shot."
