The Castle, Castle Eden

  • Description

"Keys to the Past website: This is probably the site of a medieval (1066 to 1540) castle, though only an 18th century house can be seen today. The castle was mentioned in a document of the 12th century, though it is not mentioned after this point. Excavations by archaeologists have found remains dating to the 15th century. These may have been from part of the castle. It would appear that The castle has been subdivided into a number of houses." Photo by Les Hull, 2006.
