    "We are a small self supporting group based in the village of Thorpe Thewles, located in the parish of Grindon to the north-west of Stockton-on-Tees (formerly in County Durham). The group was formed in 2005 by Phillipa Cooper with the aim of learning more about the history and archaeology of our local area and now comprises of over 20 members of all ages and backgrounds living across the UK....."

Co-Curate is a project which brings together online collections, museums, universities, schools and community groups to make and re-make stories and images from North East England and Cumbria. Co-Curate is a trans-disciplinary project that will open up 'official' museum and 'un-officia'l co-created community-based collections and archives through innovative collaborative approaches using social media and open archives/data.
