Wellington Monument, Wynyard Park

  • Description

"This obelisk, some 40 metres high, commemorates the visit of the Duke of Wellington to the Wynyard Park estate in 1827. The proximity of the trees unfortunately somewhat detracts from the magnificence of the monument. " Photo by Oliver Dixon, 2007.
