Description
"Wedged between Westgate Road and Fenkle Street by Cackett & Burns Dick, 1911. Its skin of Portland stone (not that common in Newcastle) conceals a reinforced concrete skeleton made using the Hennebique method. The proclamatory figure in front is Joseph Cowen M.P.
