Hetton Silver Band Hall at Beamish Museum
-
Description
"The Hetton Silver Band Hall was dismantled and moved from the colliery village of Hetton-le-Hole to Beamish Museum, where it was carefully rebuilt. The Hall had been built for Hetton-le-Hole's band, which was strongly linked to the village's mining community. More information about the band is on the Durham Miners' Association Brass Band website: http://www.durhamminersband.co.uk/history-3/hetton-silver-band/ More information about the hall is on the Beamish Museum website: http://www.beamish.org.uk/hetton-silver-band-hall/" Photo by Malc McDonald, 2015. -
