TOWER BLOCK

  • Description

Images influenced by the work of Belgian and Magnum Photos photographer HARRY GRUYAERT. Incidents where no one pays attention. Almost nothing happens in most of Gruyaert’s pictures, but ‘almost nothing’ is still significant. States of being matter as much as parts of the scene, and distance, depth and absence must somehow be acknowledged. Shadow, strong contrast, enigma, and colour are significant.
