"...Chronicle reader, Tony Parmar was a pupil at Manor Park School, opposite the Newton Public House, on Benton Road, Newcastle, between 1978 and 1983 and has very special memories of his time there. It originally opened as Manor Park Technical Grammar School in September 1960 as an amalgamation of Middle Street Commercial School for Boys in Walker and Heaton Technical school...."
