"House. Early C18, alterations by R. Norman Shaw in 1892; further alterations early C20. Rock-faced stone, part rendered with massive rock-faced plinth rising to ground- floor sill height. Lakeland slate roof. 2 storeys plus attics, 7 irregular bays. In 3rd bay early C20 recessed porch with screen of 2 Tuscan columns in antis...."
