"Forge. Late C18. Sandstone rubble; roof of pantiles with stone slates at eaves and stone gable coping on curved kneelers at front. One storey, 3 bays....the only surviving example of the many workshops of Winlaton producing iron goods, an industry begun here in 1691 by Ambrose Crowley" -
