Description
[Pevsner says "A big rectangular gatehouse tower, built early in the 15th C for Ralph Neville, the second Earl of Westmorland. It is roofless, but the shell remains virtually intact. The gatehouse faces south (ie towards the river) and was intended to be part of a large enclosure, which may never have been completed."] Photo by Mike Quinn, 2010, and licensed for reuse under a Creative Commons Licence. -
