Image of a horse and cart carrying belongings away from the area affected by Hartlepool's Great Timber Yard Fire in 1922. The actions of firefighters in slowing the spread of the blaze, despite a heavy, winter's wind, meant that many families' belongings were rescued in this way, as they were sent to local schools or houses.
