    "The war memorial which commemorates the lives of the local people who fell in the Great War. The memorial is situated in the middle of the road junction at the north of the village. In the background a large development of 40 holiday homes is being built on the site of the former Lucker Hall. The hall was built in the early 19th Century and was grade II listed.
