  • Description

"On 11 October 2005, a blessed hush fell on the main street through Chilton, when the Chilton By-pass was opened taking all the traffic on the A167 (formerly the Great North Road) away from the village. The opportunity has since been taken for undertaking some environmental improvements to the village centre." Photo by Oliver Dixon, 2007, and licensed for reuse under a Creative Commons Licence.
