Saxon Princess diorama

  • Description

The chief exhibit at the Kirkleatham Hall museum was about the so-called "Saxon Princess", a rich & elaborate Saxon grave recently unearthed nearby. Whoever she was, she was apparently important and had good taste in jewelry. This was part of a series of dioramas depicting local life in Saxon times. Here's the princess herself on her deathbed.
