"Manor house, c.1600 within a partly moated site, drained in C18. Largely rebuilt mid/late C18 to form service wing of Ormesby Hall : 1730/45, with internal alterations c.1770, possibly by John Carr; mid C19 porch, rear bay window c.1871 and porch/link dated 1879. Vertically-tooled sandstone ashlar with chamfered plinth. Service wing dressed sandstone with brick in English garden wall bond to south ranges..." -
