-
Description
Effigy of a Knight, St Andrews, Aycliffe, County Durham. Carved from Sandstone and left in the churchyard for centuries after being removed from the Church during the Reformation, hence its worn nature. Historians believe it to be Sir Thomas de Amundeville, Lord of Woodham and Whitworth who died in 1305AD -
