Description
"Country House 1785 by Newton of Newcastle, incorporating earlier fabric. Remodelled and 2nd floor added 1856; further alterations 1969. Ashlar, rear and north wing squared stone and rubble; slate roofs. Main block has 2 short rear wings, single-storey C20 section between. Main south front 3 storeys, 5 bays, symmetrical; projecting 3-bay centre. Plinth and band broken by ground- floor windows...." -
