  • Description

"These obelisks used to be sited at the entrance to Eston Hospital, which was built to serve the local mines and iron works. They were removed when the hospital was closed in 1980. They have since been returned to the old hospital site, which is now a small park." Photo by Stephen McCulloch, 2009, and licensed for reuse under a Creative Commons Licence.
