"Swans in Flight is a bronze sculpture by David Wynne commissioned for the opening of the Civic Centre in 1968 and located in the quadrangle in a pool of water. The swans represent the cities strong links with the Scandinavian countries Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Norway and Iceland."
