Gateshead Millennium Bridge tilting

  • Description

This is a video of Gateshead Millennium Bridge tilting in real time at noon on Sunday 18 April 2010. Most videos of this are speeded up using time lapse and I haven't been able to find a high definition video of the tilt in real time. So here's one. It does show the beautiful geometric patterns created as the bridge goes up and down. There is an added diversion in the background where you can see a charity abseil down the front of the Malmaison Hotel on the Newcastle side of the Tyne. The music is Over Distant Shores licensed from Lynne Publishing.
