Wintry view of Warkworth Castle, 1959

  • Description

Aerial view of Warkworth Castle, Northumberland, January 1959 (TWAM ref. DT.TUR/2/21259D). The North East has some of the most stunning scenery in the United Kingdom. The region looks great in any weather but adding a touch of snow or frost can really transform the appearance of the landscape. Tyne & Wear Archives is proud to present a series of wintry images from our collections to celebrate the beauty of North East England.
