    Name: Annie Caben alias Pearson Arrested for: not given Arrested at: North Shields Police Station Arrested on: 8 February 1906 Tyne and Wear Archives ref: DX1388-1-39-Annie Caben AKA Pearson The Shields Daily News for 14 November 1906 reports: "At North Shields Police Court today, Annie Caben (29), 1 Liddell Street, was charged with having stolen a pair of boots valued at 4s, the property of Annie Anderson. Prosecutrix, who resides on News Room Bank, said that yestedray the accused was in her house and after she had gone she missed the boots and gave information to the police. Detective Radcliffe said he apprehended the accused in a house in Liddell Street, and charged her with the theft. She gave the names of three other persons who, she said, ought to be apprehended as well, because they had a share of the money, which was spent in drink. Chief Constable Huish said the prisoner made her 86th appearance. The magistrates committed her for one month".
