    "This Gateshead Blue Plaque was erected in honour of the Dodds Sisters, co-founders of the Little Theatre, Gateshead. Ruth Dodds was also a formidable local politician. The plaque is erected on the walls of Home House at Kells Lane, Low Fell, where all three sisters lived." Photograph by Meetthefeebles. Hope Dodds (1885 - 1972), Ruth Dodds (1890 - 1976), Sylvia Dodds (1892 - 1969). They founded the Little Theatre, Saltwell View. Ruth Dodds was made an honorary freeman of Gateshead in 1965.
