The Ghost at Souter Lighthouse

  • Description

In 1838, Grace Darling acquired the reputation as a local heroine when she rescued crew members of a sinking ship. More than 160 years later, her niece, Isobella Darling, is still making her presence felt. A figure of a man has been seen in old fashioned uniform in various parts of the light house and is said to disappear the moment he is noticed, also people have reported being touched and even having their hair pulled. Cold breezes have been felt in certain rooms, along with sudden drops in temperature. Smells of tobacco have been smelt in the kitchen corridor. By Emily Stoker & Morgan Bolton
