    Brilliant story this. A German pilot in a dogfight dumped his bombs over farmland to escape, only one hit the church. It went through the wall but didnt go off, so they made it into a memorial window to give thanks. A press cutting on display recorded the pilot's visit in the 90s to apologise! St Andrew' s, Bolam
