Edlingham Castle

  • Description

6 photos stitched together, nice fish-eyeish view of the entrance to the castle. The Solar Tower is still standing, but there was a big hall house and courtyard between there and this entrance. Piles of stone either side of the bridge are all that remains of the two-story Gatehouse (1340) and Barbican (1400), and all proceeds from the leaflet I'm copying this from go to Edlingham Church. http://www.geobloggers.com" >GeoTagged
